ToolNest

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ToolNest (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our website (the “Service”), and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Interpretation and definitions

  • Service means the ToolNest website — an editorial directory of third-party AI tools.
  • Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Usage Data means data collected automatically, generated by your use of the Service or by its infrastructure (for example, how long a page is viewed).
  • Service Provider means a third party that processes data on our behalf, such as our hosting platform.
  • You means the individual using the Service.

Note: ToolNest does not offer user accounts, does not sell products, and does not send marketing emails. Sections common to other policies that cover accounts, payments, or promotional messaging therefore do not apply here.

Information we collect

Personal Data you provide

We only receive personal information when you choose to give it to us:

  • Tool submissions. If you use the Submit a Tool form, we receive what you enter — typically the tool's name and URL, and any name or email you choose to include.
  • Email correspondence. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

Usage Data

Like most websites, our hosting platform automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you view, and the date and time of the request. This helps us serve the Service and keep it secure.

Local storage

When you choose light or dark mode, we save that preference in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We keep tracking to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Our hosting platform may set a small number of essential cookies required to run the site securely. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

How we use your information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To review and publish tool submissions.
  • To respond to your questions and requests.
  • To monitor usage and protect the Service against abuse or fraud.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How your information is shared

We share information only in these limited situations:

  • Service Providers. Our hosting platform processes requests on our behalf so the site can run.
  • Tool logos. To display each tool's icon, your browser loads favicon images from a third-party favicon service. That request is made by your browser and is subject to that provider's policies.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, or in the good-faith belief that it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or protect the safety of users or the public.

Retention

We keep submissions and correspondence only as long as needed for the purposes above (and to meet any legal obligations), then delete them. Usage Data is generally kept for a shorter period, except where needed for security or where the law requires longer retention.

International transfer

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your state or country, where data-protection laws may differ. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely and in line with this policy.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Requesting access or deletion

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing abdullahghh01@gmail.com. We aim to respond within a few working days. You can clear the stored theme preference at any time through your browser settings.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Links to other websites

The Service links out to third-party tools we don't operate. When you follow a link you leave our site, and that company's own privacy practices apply. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Please review this page periodically.
